Show Notes

Thinking of moving abroad? We've brought in special guest Nick K to tell us what it was like moving from Australia to Ireland – which is literally going from one side of the planet to the other.

If you want to move abroad and you're wondering where to start, you're probably finding the whole process a bit overwhelming. But Callum and Nick both managed it, so it's completely doable. Their experiences of moving overseas are totally different – one moved from the UK to Ireland, the other from Australia – but they moved none-the-less!

An FYI About Moving Abroad & This Podcast

Here's the thing – we didn't answer this from the perspective of the logistical side of moving across the world because there's so many things that vary depending on your home country and where you're going. Do you need a visa? How do you get your stuff there? What do you need? We can't answer those questions for you, but we can fill you in on the different motivations behind it (which was different for Nick and Callum) along with the emotional side of things.

So if you're expecting this to fill you in on how to move to Dubai or America or anywhere else – soz. Google can help you out with that but not us!

The 'Follow Us' Spiel

Obsessed with Nick's accent or maybe you just want to harass him for more stories about moving (please don't harass him really)? He's on Twitter at @The_Nick_K and Instagram at @nickkarkazis.

Social media is obviously a great way to keep in touch with people  when they move abroad, so no matter where you are you can keep following us on @whatwouldyoudopod and like us on Facebook (What Would You Do If?).

For The Old-Timers

Come here, there's no judgement from us if you don't like social. You can always get in touch with thoughts, ideas, feedback, etc. at [email protected]. We're open to any sort of mail that isn't genitalia-related.
