The Lovely Show Live: A Christmas Special
After a hugely successful first live show earlier this year, The Lovely Show is back! And this time, it’s bringing Christmas chaos to Workman’s Club on December 16th.
Hosted by two of Ireland’s most beloved comedians, Kevin McGahern and Justine Stafford, The Lovely Show Live will deliver the same weird, warm, and wonderfully unhinged energy listeners adore every week. Expect sharp takes on Irish culture, chaotic anecdotes, and the duo’s trademark chemistry, with the added promise of festive surprises. Santa may even make an appearance, and a sing-along is not off the cards.
Based on the hit podcast of the same name, The Lovely Show is “the podcast the world deserves right now”, an ill-informed, rambling bed of nonsense perfect for long drives or difficult loads of laundry. Not suitable for children and barely appropriate for adults, the show has built a devoted audience who can’t get enough of Kevin and Justine’s offbeat brilliance.
About Kevin McGahern
Kevin began his career in 2009 after taking a job as a barman in The International Bar, the birthplace of Irish comedy. He swiftly decided to go on the dole and dedicate his life to making people laugh. Kevin recently hosted the hugely popular The Traitors Ireland: Unclocked and the IFTAs.
Kevin previously hosted RTE’s Republic Of Telly for 10 seasons and has also appeared in Hardy Bucks, Redemption of a Rogue, Nova Jones, Alison Spittle’s Nowhere Fast, Kevin McGahern’s America, Kevin McGahern’s Fast and Furious, Finding Joy, Bridget and Eamon and many, many, ok not that many more.
About Justine Stafford
Justine Stafford is one of Ireland’s brightest young comedy talents. Justine has performed in venues across Ireland as well as in 2019, being a semi-finalist in the UK Funny Women Competition and a finalist on RTE’s Stand Up and Be Funny Competition. Recently, Justine hosted the award-winning podcast The Real Carrie Jade, starred in RTÉ’s No Worries If Not and the play The Last Incel.
Justine is also known for her online comedy content creation with over 500k followers across her Twitter and Instagram accounts, where she regularly posts comedy shorts. These act as observations of the world around her, examined and scrutinised through her comedy lens.
