Fad Camp – Season Six Out Now!

What a better way to kick off a new year than with a new season launch. Winner of Best Entertainment Podcast at The Irish Podcast Awards, Fad Camp is back for its sixth season. Starting on Thursday the 9th of January, episodes will be released weekly on HeadStuffPodcasts.com or your podcast platform of choice.

Conor and Grace are back with their usual sharp wit and insightful commentary on diet culture and they have a very exciting season in store for you. Your hosts will be revisiting the 2012 British documentary series ‘Secret Eaters.’ If you know you know. There will also be a deep dive on Conor’s social media algorithm to see what kind of bizarre targeted ads he gets about weight loss. This is just a taster of the exciting topics that will be covered across the season.

‘Our 6th season of Fad Camp is jam packed with topics ranging from the 2010’s insane diet show ‘Secret Eaters’ to the disappearance of Plus Size clothing to how the algorithm targets diet ads. We cannot wait for our listeners to hear what we have in store!’ – Grace and Conor.

If you can’t get enough Fad Camp you can also support the show on HeadStuff+ to access extra content, an ad-free feed, and much more.

Grace Alice drops season two of “The G-Spot” on Headstuff Podcasts.

Award-winning sex educator, coach, and writer Grace Alice is back for season 2 of ‘The G Spot’ to deliver honest chats – sometimes vulnerable, but always empowering.

The first episode this season features Irish comedian, Anna Clifford, where they talk sex dilemmas, fantasising about an ex, and shaking off sexual shame.

This season brings even more guests that you will love. The lineup includes Activist Natasha O’Brien, Neonatologist Afif El-khuffash, Tattooist and podcaster Eimear O’Reilly, Kink educator Aoife Murray, Cyber-psychologist Nicola Fox Hamilton, and Content creator Nathalie Lennon, to bring you the best mix of relationship insights and advice from all walks of life.

Grace Alice says, “I am absolutely buzzing to share Season 2 of The G Spot! I was genuinely blown away by the reaction to Season 1. So many people have reached out and told me how great it is to hear an Irish voice discuss sex so openly in a sensitive yet fun, shame-free way. We have covered lots more topics – some are juicy, some are more delicate, and I think listeners are going to really connect to both the dilemmas and our fabulous guests again this season. I am really proud that The G Spot is playing a powerful role in pushing toward a more sex-positive, sex-literate Ireland.”

The G-spot promises another season of unfiltered conversation, insight, and laughter.

Episodes drop every Wednesday starting October 30th. Listen to episode one here!

The Greatest Matter: A Victorian Gothic Crime Audiodrama

The Greatest Matter is the newest addition to HeadStuff Podcasts, a 12-part, full-cast audiodrama.

The show is about an Italian criminologist, Cesare Lombroso, who arrives in Dublin in the late 1890s to give a public talk. In attendance are Frances, a novelist keen to learn more about the distinguished professor’s work, and Margaret, a hard-working Dublin journalist. Meanwhile, a man has been gruesomely murdered in the nearby Phoenix Park, and the authorities appear to be covering it up. As the Dublin Metropolitan Police begin inquiries, a powerful English military commander leads a sinister parallel investigation, and Frances and Margaret become increasingly intent on solving the crime, and the wider coverup, no matter the cost. The murder, Frances and Margaret soon come to realise, may have disturbing connections with spiritualism.

Lombroso, with his expertise in crime, is reluctantly drawn into the investigation and soon realises there may be dangerous consequences for his career. In fact, this murder may have profound implications for the very nature of life and death. And the murderer may still be out there.

The show was written and directed by multi-award-winning podcast producer Conor Reid (creator of Words To That Effect), with a cast including Donncha O’Dea [The House (Druid), Somewhere Out There You (Abbey Theatre), Fair City (RTÉ)], Margaret Mc Auliffe (Rough Magic, Collapsing Horse, Fishamble, The Abbey Theatre), Amy O’Dwyer (Fair City, ) and Darragh Smith (The Night Joe Dolan’s Car Broke Down, Olympia Theatre).

The podcast will be of interest to lovers of gothic and the supernatural, as well as fans of crime, mystery, and all things Victorian. Whether it’s audiodramas like Welcome to Nightvale, The Magnus Archives, or Victoriocity; TV shows such as Penny Dreadful, Sherlock, or Carnival Row; or classic fiction from Arthur Conan Doyle and Bram Stoker to the ghost stories of M.R. James and Sheridan LeFanu, the podcast is sure to appeal.

I’m so excited to get this out in the world. It’s been a long time coming and a labour of love but I had a lot of support from the HeadStuff team and a fantastic team of actors who brought the whole thing to life. If you’re a fan of horror, crime or mystery audiodramas, I think you’re going to love this. And if you’re a podcast fan who doesn’t normally listen to audiodramas, well now’s the time to give it go!
